The mine directorate complex consisted of miners’ service area, main bathroom with showers, changing rooms, lamp room, i.e. a room where the miners borrowed the mining lamps, a morgue and a corridor leading directly to Raša mine from the complex. The entire entrance area of the complex was covered in precious Carrara marble. After the mine closed down in 1966 ‘Kvarnerplastika’, a factory specialized in producing plastic boats, moved into the premises. In 1983, after a comprehensive renovation and reconstruction of the complex, the management of Prvomajska Raša, a factory specialized in machine tools and numerical CNC lathes, moved in. The said factory quenched in the course of 1990s due to poor conversion and privatization and is now privately owned, currently devastated and abandoned with hope of a better tomorrow.
