Experience the amazing combination of natural beauty and priceless cultural heritage on eleven tourist trails and paths in Labin area. From Rabac, the pearl of Kvarner Bay, over waterfalls and streams below the medieval old town of Labin and its cultural heritage, to Raša- the youngest Istrian town, the longest bay Prtlog, to stunning panoramic views from Skitača.

Walk down the 40 kilometer long Labin Hiking Trail from the lighthouse on cape Crna punta and Skitača, the southernmost points of Labin peninsula, across the historic Labin and Ripenda that tower above the “guard” Rabac, the picturesque Plomin and Sisol, the highest peak of the Plominska gora, to Brseč. Every April a traditional trekking Long Walk Day, organized by the Mountaineering Club Skitaci from Labin, is held on this route. Besides hiking to Skitača for Easter, Assumption Day St. Lucy’s Day in December, the International Walk Day in October is also marked.

Your adventure begins in Maslinica bay, which used to be called Tihina and where people from the surrounding villages grew olives. Every human being desires and needs a quiet harbor, so head to Teleferika – the former cable car and the port for the transport of bauxite, which offers a breathtaking view of Rabac…

Water is the source of life, and the springs were once the source of life for people in Labin. So walk down the Divine Springs trail which starts in Maslinica bay in Rabac. The climb up to the old town of Labin runs through the most beautiful protected natural landscape in Labin area. The springs Vrućak and Blažićevo are located next to the large waterfall. On your way up you’ll be followed by a series of streams…

Start your adventure from the peninsula of St. Andrew and the small 15th century church of St. Andrew, the oldest building in the resort of Rabac. Take a selfie with an interesting sculpture ‘The Pearls’ located on a rock below the church, or standing next to the sculpture ‘The Woman Bathing’…

Start with Labin Old town sightseeing  and discover the beautiful buildings preserved from Venetian time: the town gate San Fior, the loggia, the palaces Franković, Manzini, Scampicchio, Negri and Battiala – Lazzarini (Labin Museum). The Museum will enchant you with its unique model of a mine in this part of Europe, which takes you back to the mining history of Labin and its surroundings…

The small fishing village of Tunarica is situated on the coast of the Raša bay, and right next to the sea there is the same name camping resort for lovers of holidays in nature from where this circular trail stars. In its length of 10.8 km the trail first passes by the sea, then climbs to the village of Sveti Lovreč Labinski, near which there are numerous archaeological finds dating from the ancient times…

Tunarica, the small fishing village situated on the coast of the Raša bay is the place of departure of the challenging 15.7 km long trail. The place was once famous for tuna fishing, and today there is a camping resort for all lovers of holidays spent in nature. The trail starts from the campsite, descending to the sea and continuing through the tiny forest, providing a true Mediterranean experience…

The 9.6 km long circular trail runs from the youngest town in Istria, Raša, located in a narrow valley just 2 km away from the sea. Raša was created deliberately, as a settlement for miners who have dedicated their lives to the extraction of coal, and today is an example of a completely preserved urban entity…

The small mining town of Raša, known as the youngest town in Istria, is an architectural monument designed by Gustavo Pulitzer Finali. The 11.5 km long circular trail for mountaineers or more experienced hikers starts from its central square which houses the church of St. Barbara, the patroness of miners, former residents of this town…

The 15 km long trail runs from the youngest town in Istria, Raša, located in a narrow valley only 2 km away from the sea. It is intended for a half-day walk with beautiful views of Raša, its valley and the town of Labin. It starts at the central square next to the church of St. Barbara, the patroness of miners, whose belfry hosts a museum dedicated to its inhabitants…
